It's that time of year as kids and teachers head back to school. Even though we homeschool year around, there are still changes as the summer turns into fall and we have more structure in our schedules. Kids and parents alike can have a lot of stress, worry and anxiety about back to school time.
Keep your schedule light for the first few weeks, prioritize sleep and free play outdoors. Our kids get enough homework and busy work, they do not get enough time away from screens and time to be creative. Talk through their fears and worries, and manage your emotions as a parent or friend. And, let them play!
