Most of us are feeling overwhelmed and burned out this time of year. The seemingly never ending list of gifts to buy, schedules to coordinate, baking plus all the poor dietary choices can lead us to feel like garbage- mentally and physically.
First of all, you are not alone. Take a deep breath.
It is ok to set realistic expectations. Not everyone needs a gift, and sometimes a gift can be a burden as the receiver then scrambles to return the favor. How many gifts do you remember as a kid? I bet you might remember one or two, but you remember the traditions and the time spent playing games or baking cookies together. It's not the stuff that matters.
Say no to the things that do not serve you. It is ok to not go to all the parties or create distance between toxic family members. Skip the wine and stick to club soda
Try not to give up your gym time. Meet your friends for a walk outdoors and a cup of coffee instead of meeting for dinner and drinks. Keep getting your steps in. If you have holiday parties, prioritize protein especially earlier in the day. Have a good breakfast and lunch and make the best choices at dinner.
Even doing a 5 minute guided meditation every day will be very powerful to downregulate your nervous system. Schedule some acupuncture or just come take a rest on our PEMF mat.
We are open during the holidays, so you can still get your acu nap time!
